MORON OF THE WEEK

It is that time again folks for us to pick the biggest bozo from this past week in sports. A lot has happened this past week. Several teams advanced in the playoffs, while others went home. Coaches made some boon headed decisions, and some players had their not so greatest moments.

What sets this week's winner apart is the fact he has long since retired from his profession. He has gone on to become a very entertaining anaylst for TNT. His insights and blunt talk about teams make it very enjoyable to watch their halftime, pre-game, and post game shows.

But his nomination to this award has absolutely nothing to do with that either. This individual has admitted he has a gambling problem. And when you see the $400,000 he owes a Las Vegas casino, you could see how big his problem is.

When questioned about his problem, the man only said he would stop for right now. Not long term, but only for the next couple years. What he has failed to realize is stopping for a year is not going to help his problem. It might for a while, but eventually it will catch up to him.

Qui-gon Jinn put it best when he said "Whenever you gamble my friend, eventually you lose." To this individual I say, "you have lost, give it up!" You keep playing with a life grenade, it will kill you.

Sir Charles, its time to admit you have a problem and then find a way to permanently fix it. Otherwise you will end up sleeping under an overpass in card board box and trying stalking pigeons trying to catch your next meal.
